Obituaries

Michael Eugene Riley

Michael Eugene Riley was born on June 28, 1951, to W.J. and Betty Riley in Cushing, Okla. He graduated from Cushing High School on May 27, 1969, where he was very active in school sports. He attended Oklahoma State University and South Eastern College, where he met Petti Ann Hampson. They married on Feb. 16, 1976, and moved to Casper.

From this union he had one daughter, Natalie Nicole Riley, born on Aug. 16, 1984.

Michael enjoyed working in the oilfield and worked for various companies such as Black Hills Trucking, Richardson Trucking, Marmac Trucking and M&N Equipment.

He met Toni Hale in 1990 and moved to LaBarge in 1998. He enjoyed diamond jewelry, fireworks, growing tomatoes, home improvements and playing his guitar.

He passed away at his home on Feb. 15, 2004.

He was preceded in death by his father, W.J. Riley. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, in LaBarge. Interment followed in the Viola Cemetery.

Edith Mozelle Cobb

Edith Mozelle Cobb, 78, passed away Thursday morning Feb. 19, 2004, at the Sublette Center in Pinedale.

Mozelle was born in Mauriceville, Texas, on June 5, 1925, to Ben and Lenora Cobb. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Whitley of Pinedale, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, her mother and father, and her granddaughter.

Rex Harold Miller

Rex Harold Miller passed away Feb. 18, 2004, after a lengthy illness. He was at home with his wife by his side.

Rex was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Yoder, the son of Joseph and Louisa Miller. His family moved to Pinedale in 1940 and he graduated from Pinedale High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 until 1948.

Rex married Juanita Abshire on April 21, 1961, at the home of his brother, John, in Spanish Fork, Utah. He spent most of his life on a ranch in Boulder until he retired. He also owned and operated the Cowboy Bar.

His parents, Joe and Louisa Miller; his brothers, Earl and John; and also a stepson, Roger Quickle, preceded him in death.

His wife, Juanita "Nita" Miller, sisters Jane Warinner and Dorothy Bentzel, all of Pinedale; sister Audrey Wooley of Vernal, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

His wishes were to be cremated and services will be held at a later date. Hudson's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
