Black bear areas close

Black bear hunters take note: Hunt areas 14-17 and 30, which include the Salt and Wyoming ranges, closed June 8.

The closed areas stretch from Big Piney to the Idaho state line and from Hoback Junction to LaBarge. Hunters should check the Black Bear

Regulations for specific hunt area boundaries.

The areas closed because the harvest quota of 14 sows, or female bears, was reached. The hunt area will reopen in the fall.
